On 7th November 2019 our trade body ACAD (Asbestos Control and Abatement Division) performed an independent site audit on one of our projects involving the removal of asbestos insulating board ceiling from a redundant, partially derelict building.
We are delighted to report that we achieved an ACAD Certificate of Excellence following the audit and achieved a pass rate of 98%.
This type of independent audit supports our on-going monthly internal site audits which monitor our performance and maintains our standards.
Although a pass rate of 100% is unrealistic we now have a target for next year’s audit and through continuous effort and improvement we will look to achieve it.
ACAD’s aims and objectives are to:
- Improve overall Health & Safety standards within the industry.
- Provide superior asbestos training to the industry.
- Act positively to promote best working practices.
- Work closely with statutory bodies e.g. the HSE and the Environment Agency.
