It has been a very busy but productive start to the year for A&D Environmental Services Ltd.
HSE Asbestos License
The asbestos licence which we have and issued by the Health & Safety Executive was due for renewal by the end of March, we had to issue our new licence submission in the first week of January 2021 in order to enable sufficient time for the HSE Inspectors to complete their in-depth examination before the new licence could be granted.
We are delighted to announce that the HSE Licensing Unit have now issued the new ‘licence to undertake work with asbestos’ which is valid until March 2024.
The HSE Inspectors examination is an intense exercise and looks at evidence generated during the previous licence duration and covers the following elements: –
- Organisation, Structure, Responsibilities
- Legislative Understanding, Removal Techniques & Air Management
- Planning & Site Checks
- Equipment Maintenance, RPE & PPE Knowledge
- Decontamination, Management & Disposal of Waste
- Monitoring Records & Medical Surveillance
- Leadership, Management and Worker Involvement
- Competence & Training
- Measuring Performance & Review
The designated HSE Inspector reported in the Comments section of the Application Report that “A&D Environmental Services Ltd has demonstrated sufficient positive evidence and a full licence for a 3-year term will be granted”
