Fly Tip

A&D Environmental were approached by a local authority Streetscene Supervisor reporting a fly-tip of asbestos cement in a lane adjacent to the A55 North Wales Expressway. A member of the public who was walking in the area had initially identified the problem.

One of our Contracts Managers (Dan) viewed the extent of the fly-tip and recommended that the lane was ‘closed’ until a team could be despatched to the area and safely dispose of the asbestos cement – the problem had been exacerbated by vehicles driving over the asbestos containing material and dispersing it further and into small pieces.

Within 48 hours of the initial request the fly-tip was remedied, and the lane was in a condition to re-open. See photographs of the before and after….
